We know the medical piece is one piece to a comprehensive care plan. In order to maximize the results of the medical piece, and to recover our independence, health and vitality from chronic conditions and developmental delays, we strongly encourage patients to layer well timed pieces to a care plan. These pieces will work in combination to support patient's bodies to heal from countless medical conditions resulting in various symptom sets. We have created our Patient Provider Workbook to summarize the various pieces to a care plan. Ask about it today.
We highly recommend scheduling appointments with our Collaborative Care Team to continue evolving your personalized care plan. Our Collaborative Care Team has each experienced their own personal and family healing journey from debilitating health symptoms. Our Team knows how to Live the Solution and is eager to help you experience the same good fortune.
Kara coordinates our Clinical Model, Strategic Business Development and our Patient's Care Plans. She is also our Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach.
In 2006 Kara's 3 year old son was diagnosed with PDD-NOS. Kara was told he needed to be clinically evaluated for Autism; she was told there was nothing she could do for her son but to love him and to try and keep him safe. Medication and Speech Therapy were recommended as well as financial planning to ultimately place him in an institution for life long care. As a single mom she traveled states to find pieces to her family's care plan. She intuitively layered each piece to work in combination to maximize results. 11 years later her son is indistinguishable from his peers.
Kara's passion is to turn around and help other patients and families navigate their healing journey to save time and funds. Kara created the Good Medicine Workbook to provide patients HOW to put all the head knowledge into action. The workbook provides patients the big picture of the healing journey. We plan for retirement, we plan for kids college, we plan for vacations, but very rarely do we plan our healthcare plan. Her appointments help patients identify reasonable, well timed care plan pieces, to layer into their care plan, to create sustainable change.
Kara has been a health coach for the past 14 years. In addition to her work at Good Medicine, Kara is also a Project Manager for Pure Encapsulations and a Course Facilitator for the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy.
Annie Morris has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1998. She is Dr. Morris's wife, and has always wanted to be part of her husband’s practice. Annie feels so strongly about the work he does, she wanted to be part of the collaborative care team here at Good Medicine.
"It is so exciting to see people learn to take care of themselves and to actually get better! There is no other practice making such a difference in people’s lives. I use many modalities to perform Structural Integration. Integrating Mind, Body and Spirit is my goal.
Annie has trained with the Upledger Institute in Craniosacral Therapy this past year. In 2015, she trained with John Barnes for Myofascial Release techniques. Annie uses some Trager technique, Orthobionomy as well as Swedish massage. She plans to attend at least two educational classes per year in order to enhance and expand her knowledge in order to help each patient have the best chance at achieving their health goals. "I wish you all the best of health."
